In South East London mediation is available to help you reach agreements related to matters about children, finance and property.
The South East London Family Mediation Bureau is available to all parents who need these services.
In almost all cases confidentiality can be maintained throughout thus avoiding public exposure of personal problems. In most cases an agreement reached by mediation will last longer than a decision imposed by the court.

All Bureau mediators are trained and accredited by National Family Mediation or Family Mediation Association and are members of, and work to the standards of, the College of Mediators (formerly the UK College of Family Mediators). Mediators employed by the Bureau function within the mediation code of practice as prescribed by the College.

Mediation: how much will it cost?
This depends on your income -
Child Issues Mediation: the minimum fee is £40 per session (unless Legally Aided), for incomes up to £30,000.
All Issues Mediation: the minimum fee is £85 per session (unless Legally Aided), for incomes up to £30,000.
